Juanita Miranda

Juanita is a highly accomplished and compassionate rehabilitation counselor, a testament to her dedication and perseverance as a first-generation college graduate. Her academic journey culminated in a Master of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, providing her with a robust foundation in the principles and practices of holistic client care.

Her professional expertise extends to providing comprehensive counseling services in both English and Spanish, allowing her to effectively reach and support a broad spectrum of the community. Juanita possesses extensive experience working with individuals across the lifespan, including children, youth, and adults, and has a proven track record of successfully engaging with clients from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. This breadth of experience underscores her adaptability and commitment to inclusive practice.

In her therapeutic approach, Juanita employs an integrative model that thoughtfully combines the structured insights of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with the empathetic, client-centered principles of a Person-Centered Approach. This fusion allows her to tailor interventions that not only address problematic thought patterns and behaviors but also empower individuals to tap into their innate strengths and self-actualizing tendencies. Through this dynamic approach, she guides clients in cultivating healthier cognitive processes and developing robust, effective coping skills that are essential for navigating life's challenges.

Central to Juanita's philosophy is the unwavering commitment to fostering a safe, non-judgmental, and deeply supportive therapeutic environment. She understands that genuine healing and growth occur within a space of trust and acceptance. By nurturing strong therapeutic relationships, Juanita facilitates the development of resilience within her clients, equipping them with the tools and inner strength to overcome adversity. Her ultimate goal is to support long-term mental wellness, promoting sustainable well-being that extends far beyond the counseling session. Juanita's work is not just about addressing symptoms; it's about empowering individuals to lead more fulfilling and balanced lives.
